Artist's Statement

    I enjoy making utilitarian pottery for everyday use. I strive to not only concentrate on the functional aspects of my wares, but also I spend much of my time focusing on the aesthetic as well. I am inspired by textures and patterns, and much of my work has textural elements to it. I enjoy faceting and cutting away at the clay with different materials or using handmade stamps to create subtle textures.  I aim to make pots that will add a measure of beauty and comfort into the homes of all who use them.
